This gracefully shaped antique bronze dore jardinière is from the 1800s. It features motifs of stylized asymmetrical cartouches, scrolling acanthus leaves and flowers.  There is a gilt metal liner for use with flowers, and there is a mark to the bottom (' V S') with a crown between the two letters. 

This classic French antique bronze dore, Louis XV style jardinière can be used as a decorative accessory or as a jardiniere with flowers. Condition:  Minor losses to gilding and rubs to bronze.
