This pair of French faience decorative urns/pitchers has been painted in the Italian Istoriato style –a classic style of the Rennaissance depicting narrative scenes and figurative subjects.   There are scenes of country houses surrounded by mountains on one side and mythological figurative scenes on the other.  Classic single serpent handles twist down one side while the opposing spout curves gracefully outward . 
These urns/pitchers are highly sought after by collectors.
Condition:  Minor chips to bottom rim; no marks
