A Pair of Hand Painted Ceramic Cockatiels from France – Re-Edition –Unmarked –Good Condition-Slight mottling to glaze- Old restorations to plumes of crest on one cockatiel -20th C.

These playful ceramic white cockatiels are perched on a branch bearing pomegranates, berries, and leaves.   From the parrot family, they are known to be quite mischievious when bored.  The cockatiels, fruit and leaves are glazed , while the branches are matte.  In France during the 18th C. , exotic birds came into fashion.  Porcelain factories  produced an abundance of every type of bird, from very small to large figures.

This model came from Paris and will delight the eye of any beholder.
