Antique French Marble Bust;  Age:  Early 1800’s

This is a beautifully sculpted antique bust of a young woman gazing downward.  Her head is covered with a hat shading her face and hair.  Her hair has been tied back into a pony tail which falls gracefully over a shawl covering her sundress.  Soft curls surround her face, making her appearance very soft and innocent.  This sculptor has captured proportion and image masterfully.  She has a very minor chip to the right top of her shawl and rests up a wooden turntable base with brass surround.  We were unable to find a signature.
