This French painted cast iron rooster is nicely detailed.  His raised right foot rests upon a branch surrounded by large leaves and roses, while his left foot is resting on a slant upon the ground covered by a leaf.  His tail feathers are held high indicating a state of alertness. His painted finish has various stages of rusting.  This wonderful French cast iron rooster is the perfect accessory for indoors or out.

Condition:  Rusting to paint and iron; comb is missing on head. 20th Century
