Boiserie Panel with Marble Topped Console and Mirror

This is an antique boiserie panel, complete with marble topped console and mirror. It has been constructed of mixed woods--quarter sawn European Oak and Linden. There are traces of paint in the crevices, but otherwise, it is in very good condition. We believe it to be circa 1870.

So at one point, this panel was only one part of a completely paneled room in France. At some point in its history, it was stripped. The future collector could leave it as is, or they can paint it, stain it, or wax it for a different finish.

It would be beautiful in a powder bath as a sink...everything is here-mirror, sink top, backing--just add the vessel to the top and plumb it. Otherwise, use it as a console on a wall or an entry piece on a foyer wall.

Please note that the ornamentation is not applique. It has been hand carved into the wood.

This is truly an investment piece for your home. Architectural panels are difficult to find, especially ones of this beauty and quality.
