Antique Stripped Walnut Door

This is an antique Louis XIV style door from France. It is made of stripped walnut wood and was built in the mid to late 1800's. It is unrestored, yet in good antique condition. There is some pitting of the wood, as to be expected for its age.

The door has a central arched raised molding decoration on the top, and a raised rectangular panel at the bottom. There is diamond point iron ornamentation throughout with a mail drop cutout at the top of the arched molding. Bronze is used as the surround to the door knob (no knob on this door). The back of the door is horizontal plank construction, as was the norm for antique doors.
