Walnut Wood Overdoor-Spain Late 1800's

This is an antique overdoor from Spain, circa 1880. It is constructed of walnut wood and it's in very good antique condition. There are minor nicks and rubs and a slight separation as seen in the photos.

We believe this overdoor once graced a panel above an interior doorway. The carving is of a Roman figure looking to the right. He is encircled in a molding surrounded on either side by laurel leaf branches. There are baluster pilasters to either side and volutes and c-scrolls at either end.

This architectural can be used as an overdoor, a decorative wall hanging, or placed on a piece of furniture. It is suitable for any style of decor.
