An Antique French Architectural Fragment of Ornamental Rococo Molding from the 1700’s - Condition Commensurate with Age- missing areas of wood.
This antique French architectural fragment bearing ornamentation of scrolling acanthus leaves is from the French Rococo Period in the 1700’s. Originally, this was probably used as a section of crown molding from a chateau, as it is slightly curved from top to bottom in profile. Today it can be used as a decorative piece of art, as a valance over a window, in the bedroom for a headboard mounted with a wooden or iron frame, or as a decorative overdoor.
These prime antique French architectural elements from the 1700’s are very versatile and rare.
