An Antique French Giltwood Louis XV Style Architectural Element – Good Antique Condition Commensurate with Age – Old Restorations – Cracks and minor chips  - Early 1800’s

This magnificent antique French giltwood architectural element would have been part of a similarly ornamented door, wall or accessory in a formal setting.  Resplendent with giltwood motifs of Louis XV style C and S scrolls of acanthus leaf design, they surround a basket of flowers.  At its uppermost point is a stylized acanthus leaf in the fleur-de-lis design.

Today, this antique French architectural could be used ornamentally as a table accessory, as a piece of art on the wall, over a formal door or centered on a trumeau of a fireplace .
