A French Louis XVI Style Wood and Plaster Boiserie Panel  with Bas Relief of Musical Trophy and Highlights of Gilding – Old Elements mixed with new – Parcel Paint Finish - 20th C.
These types of French boiserie panels were once insets of an entire wooden paneled room. Few entire rooms have survived; however, some of the single panels have.  This  recently parcel painted and gilded bas relief panel with a musical trophy theme could be used as a wonderful wall hanging in place of a painting or mirror.  It has ornamentation of musical instruments, scrolling vines, gadrooned leaves, arrows and quivers, a basket of flowers, tied ribbons and more.
