H=69 5/8, W=23 3/4
Good Antique Condition Commensurate with Age- Rubs to Wood -Circa 1800
These versatile antique French armoire doors with brass and iron hardware once graced a lovely French Regence style armoire. Their design is double sided, finished on the front and unfinished wood to the back. The top panel and center panel has diagonal parquet in different configurations. The bottom panel has six panels running vertically and horizontally each with a separate center vertical board between.
The brass escutcheon plates are original to the doors and the iron elongated hinges run the length of the doors and have fiches in three areas for attaching into the wood.
Today, these antique armoire doors are framed and used as interior doors in areas where room doors need to be exceptional. They are also used as frontages for television cabinets, adding the sides and back, or for making corner cabinets, adding the sides. They are also used as closet, pantry or as armoire doors.
