Condition commensurate with Age -17th C. Loss of some motifs and wood, nick, rubs and age cracks to wood, backboard missing on one ornament (see photo)– Hooks added to backs for hanging.
These 17th C. architectural ornaments would have originally been vertically mounted underneath a beam support or beneath another ornamental motif.  They feature volute tops surmounting winged female masks or cherubs with drop ornamentation of pomegranates, grape bunches and various leaves.  They both finish in draped ornamentation.
This pair is rare in its age and condition and is highly sought after by collectors of antique architectural elements.
