Double Provence Bibliotheque with Antique Elements

Double Domed Opening – Good Antique Condition – Chipping and Rubbing to Paint Commensurate with Age – Frontage  is all antique  - Sides, Back , and Shelves are newer than body as is faux paint.

This magnificent antique French, parcel paint, bibliotheque, with double domed frontage, has stunning capitals of Rococo style putti on the freize. The putti arise from out-turned acanthus leaves and c-scroll acanthus volutes behind their head.  Beneath the putti are fluted pilasters which define the two domed, open frontage panels of the bibliotheque.  There are two shelves per opening.  Beneath each opening is a pair of doors separated by fluted pilasters.  The paint is a beautiful, pale blue/grey and cream, chipped over time.
