Louis XV Style Caned Bench
This is a Louis XV/Regence style walnut wood caned bench from France. It is in very good condition, and is circa 1950.
The bench has a single caned top bordered by walnut wood over a conforming frieze of shell and scrolling acanthus leaves. The six supporting legs have a stylized sunflower and acanthus leaf decor. The cloven feet connect with curved X stretchers.
