Six French, Louis XIV Style, Embossed,  Aged Leather Side Chairs with Walnut Wood Surrounds-Very Good Condition – Last Quarter 20th C.
These French aged leather side chairs have embossed leather on the front chair backs which are surrounded by French walnut wood.   The backs of the chairs have been upholstered in a gilt thread patterned material with a band of red gilt palmettes running horizontally along the bottom quarter of the material.   The legs are turned balusters with squared block joinery and ball feet and the stretchers are X-shape.  These chairs are adaptable to many uses and settings. Please note there are two black spots on the backs of the chairs (threads). We believe this may be due to oxidization in some of the metallic threads.
