This French hunting buffet (Buffet de Chasse) is in excellent condition and is made of European oak. It is circa 1950.
The French hunting buffets are identifiable by their simple design and hinged front/side doors. The entire front opens up (see photo). The depth on this piece is narrow, which is rare in French buffets. It also has two interior drawers which slide out for easy access.
This could be used as a buffet or behind a sofa due to its narrow depth.
