This elegant antique buffet has three door fronts separated by quarter round  panels and moldings.  The central door is set back with quarter round panels and molding to either side, as are the two side doors which end in quarter round sides.  The conforming top has a vertical center panel with adjacent rectangular panels and curved end panels.  The platform base also conforms to all existing shapes.  The ornamentation on the central door panel is a shaped center medallion, surrounded in four corners by hand carved, foliate facing volute vines and topped with the stylized fleur-de-lis. The adjacent door panels are the same with the exception of the facing volute vines.  The panels are surrounded by  deep concave moldings projecting out to the edge of the door frame.  This majestic buffet maintains a simple elegance but has been given interest by subtle shaping and ornamentation.
