Small Catalane Table from France

This is a Catalane style table from France, constructed in the 1920's or so. The top is supported by two brackets. We recently stripped the top on this table, because it had unsightly marks and scratches. The two drawers are decorated in elaborate C scrolls and florets, which are separated by a stationary post. This rests upon S scrolled legs, serpentine stretchers and voluted feet. A curved iron stretcher holds it all in place.
