French Parquet Top Dining Table with Bas Relief Carvings

H=31, W=55, L=9ft. 2 in.

This charming French Table was originally made in Lille in the northern part of France.  It has whimsical ornamentation on its skirt of a fork and spoon, a cup and saucer, a pitcher, a glass, and soup tureens. There are scrolling vines with flowers connecting the decorative wooden relief’s.  The top is parquet and it has baluster shaped legs and H stretchers with rounded topped, flat bottomed feet.  The table came with 1 leaf, however, it has room for at least another leaf of 19-/12”.

- Very Good Antique Condition – European Oak – Late 1800’s or earlier.
