Antique Rectangular Table from Holland – Faux Marble Top Painted by Jacques Lamy |
This painted, occasional table from Holland has a faux marbre, rectangular and shaped top painted by the French artist, Jacques Lamy. We believe it is late 1800's. Its conforming rectangular and shaped body has a single drawer for storage at one end and has swirled motifs and gadrooned lobed ornamentation. Its legs are fluted with ornamentation of raised circles. Versatile in its uses because of its size and shape, it can be used as an occasional table between two chairs, as an end table for a bed, or as a hall table with a mirror or painting over it. Condition: Minor losses to some ornamentation; chips and separations to wood and paint at joints. |
