Table Bases-Ancient Building Remnants from Barcelona, Spain

*Before they were turned into table bases, these architectural fragments were fixed high on the facade of a Spanish building, nestled between two hand carved stone dragons*

Very Good Antique Condition – Well Over 100 years of age. Now shown as a base for a table, this magnificent pair of ancient architectural elements were once part of a building façade in Barcelona, Spain. Once nestled in beween dragons, their motif is of a cartouche with acanthus leaves and beading.  There are pomegranates to either side of the top volutes and faint striations on the curved extensions of the volutes.

These rare antique elements are difficult to find, but once found, they are so versatile in their uses indoors and outside.  They could be added onto at the top for a beautiful powder bath sink base, or used as accessory pedestals for statuary, bases for floral vases, bases for lamps, end tables anywhere, and much, much more.  These are pieces of history to be enjoyed for many more years.
