This magnificent antique Italian Renaissance style refectory table has been constructed with Italian Burled Walnut Wood on the top.  The hand carved legs have leaf ornamented blocks atop baluster legs with stylized drapery and tassel ornamentation on leaf ornamented volute feet.  A shaped plank connects the two ends.  Refectory tables were originally used in monasteries as dining tables as well as work tables.  Today, they can be used as narrow dining tables or wide console tables as well as library tables.  
Condition:  Old Restorations; rubs and nicks to wood commensurate with age.
