An Italian Painted Wooden Round Table with Antique Wooden Center Pedestal Base – Top and Supports are Recently done and distressed to match antique base – Base is an antique architectural element – Mid 1800’s or older -Good Condition – Chips and rubs to paint commensurate with age.

This stunning Italian round painted wooden table has an antique wooden base which was once an architectural element.  The top is newly made and painted with  a border of scrolling acanthus leaves The glazed colors are in the rusts, ochres, oranges and creams .  It has been distressed to match the antique architectural base.  The four, cream colored,  parcel painted attenuated acanthus leaf supports have also been distressed to match the base.  There is a central iron post attaching the top to the base.

The antique architectural base has hints of old gilding underneath the parcel painted surface.  The décor is stylized acanthus leaves.  This is truly a magnificent table, yet its overall tone is subdued elegance.
