This beautiful, French Louis XIV desk has all the ornamentation of the period. The slant has c-scrolls terminating in rosettes. The bottom doors are decorated with intertwining s-scrolls, acanthus leaves, and stylized irises. The sides are paneled and the top has a wooden gallery surround.
The interior of the desk has a set of 3 wooden drawers on either side of the interior and one drawer at the center. The pull down surface has an inset of leather with gilt embossing around the edges.
