Bronze Lantern with Cast Iron Arm
H=38, W=19, D=30
This is an antique lantern made of solid bronze in 1904. It does not have any glass and there is a bent corner. From the stamping on the bottom of the lantern, we see that it was made at the Genova compound in 1904. The Genova compound is one of two owned by the British firm Tagliafico. Tagliafico specialized in lighting and street furnture and is still in business today.
This impressive, large bronze lantern comes with a beautiful, solid cast iron arm. It's size alone makes a grand statement. It could be used as a wall lantern or as a ceiling fixture. Please note that we have TWO arms. These beautiful arms could be used as wall scones! Contact us for more information.
