An Antique French, Round Iron Chandelier with Six Arms – Good Antique Condition –Rusting and Rubs to Iron – French Electrification – Late 1800’s

This spectacular antique, French, hand-wrought iron chandelier has six lights, three chains attached to the chandelier and canopy.  The ornamentation on the chandelier is an iron band with large nailhead and floret cutouts, elongated c-scroll bands, and the torches for the six arms.  The torches are attached to the main iron band by a horizontal iron rod attached to two iron straps which surround the conical shape of the shaft of the torch. The shaft has faint hand hammered stylized leaves and ends in a stylized solid nailhead.  The torch heads have bands with nailheads and stylized c-scrolls surround the band.  The finial at its bottom center replicates three flattened nailheads.
