Cast from powdered marble, FRANCE

These unusual French sconces with half shades have been cast with powdered marble.  They are in the form of half urns and have ornamentation of wave scroll and beading around the widest portion.  Garlands of fruit gracefully drape the front, while the finial at the top features an overflowing bunch of fruit. Mid to Late 20th Century– Condition:  Leaf Restoration on one sconce.
