This is a beautiful pair of Capodimonte style lamps with Lace Shades from France.  They feature a young boy and girl in period custumes with doves.  The boy’s dove is perched on his arm and holds an envelope ready for him to read, while the girl’s dove is cradled in her overskirt with an envelope waiting for her to read.  Highlights of gold are present thoughout as well as on various relief ornamentation.  Beautiful tiny handmade flowers are in relief on the girl’s skirt and the boy’s ascot has reticulated lace.  More handmade flowers are on the ground at their feet.  The shades are done in lace.  The bases are open reticulated bronze. This pair has been beautifully handmade and painted.
Condition:  Back stem of lamp base holder on Girl’s fixture needs tightening; Minor oxidation to bronze bases. One harp is missing, but can be sourced upon request.
