This antique iron fireback from Belgium has the family coat of arms of the Berloz Family of Liege, with a date of 1662. The ornamentation is in the style of Louis XVI including pinecone finials, garlands of laurel hanging from a tied bow, elongated stylized acanthus leaves, a crown with lozenge and beading, and finally, a crowned lion supporting concave and convex vertical panels.
