French Trumeau Mirror Made From Various Antique Architectural Elements
This is a painted antique French trumeau mirror. It is in good condition, with some chipping to the paint. The construction is a mixture of architectural elements, some most likely dating back to the late 1700's.
The top is an open pediment which has a female mask with swags and relief decoration. The pediment rests upon a molding of gadrooned leaves and water leaves. On either side of the two part mirror are pilasters with ionic capitals, fluted columns, and acanthus leaves.
This piece could be hung on the wall or it could be placed on the floor, resting against a wall.
