A Large Giltwood Regence Style Mirror from France

Good Antique Condition-Minor rubs to gilding and paint –Commensurate with Age- Late 1800’s 

This large regal antique French mirror has old gilding,  red and yellow bole, and pale blue/grey, pale yellow, and teal parcel paint.  Its ornamentation is stylized egg and dart with a central stylized Regence style shell ,scrolling floral vines and beading.  The bottom is flat because it would have originally been placed over a mantel.  

Impressive yet unassuming, this large mirror could be placed in any room demanding its size.
