Decorative Hand Wrought, Painted Ironwork in the form of Shutters – Some chipping to white paint –1930’s
This is a pair of small French arched mirrors encased in delicately hand wrought iron shutters that are painted white. The shutters open at the center and the removable doors open outward to reveal the arched mirror. The frame of the shutter has ornamentation of tiny rope twists and c-scrolls. Openwork tendrils of ivy, florets, buds, and scrolling lines flow gracefully from a reticulated flower basket on each door, with the mirror showing through. The mirrors are held in place by three levers on the back.
This light and airy pair of French mirrored shutters will bring a touch of the outdoors inside.
