4 Paneled Giltwood Screen with Paintings on Canvas
This is a French transitional 4 paneled screen with giltwood surround and silk velvet backed paintings. It is in very good condition and from the late 1800's. There are some areas of gimp missing around the borders. The wooden frame has recently been re-gilded.
The four panels of giltwood frames have different romantic garden scenes of the French Court. This piece can be used as a divider, a decorative piece atop a buffet or console, or as a barrier concealing a dressing room.
