Rambouillet Screen Print-Chasse De Maximilien Le Rapport
This is a screen print reproduction based on the original (XVII Century), which resides in the Musee Des Gobelin in Paris. It is in excellent condition.
The French company, Rambouillet, has been selected as the the sole replicator of the famous tapestries in the museums of France. Each reproduction matches the originals right down to each imperfection, watermark, etc. The originals, by French law, are not allowed to be sold or removed from the country.
This Rambouillet tapestry of the Chasse De Maximilien Le Rapport, was originally woven at the Gobelin factory in the 1600's. The scene depicts the preparation for a hunt, and includes gentlemen on horses, hunting dogs, and buildings in the background. Trees and lush foliage is exhibited throughout the scene.
