Finding a group of 7 antique French panel paintings from the same room is extremely rare.  All paintings have trompe l’oeile borders in the rococo style.  They are sold in separate quantities as designated or a complete set.

The style of painting is known as Genre Painting and this category of Genre Painting became popular in France during the 18th C. after Louis XIV.  It depicted scenes of ordinary people in everyday settings of life, imagined, realistic or romantic, in indoor or outdoor settings.
