This peaceful and serene French oil painting, depicting pairs of ducks, roosters and pheasants and smaller birds feeding in the straw was painted by Charles Endress in 1929. In the farmyard, there is a circular tin feeder where the smaller birds are feeding, a ladder and a wooden trough are leaning against a stone wall, and the downspout feeds drinking water into a receptacle for the birds.
