A Large Gilt- Framed, Pastoral Oil Painting on Canvas, Signed H. Zober ’99 Good Condition – minor chips to frame, previous restoration to painting – 20th C.
This peaceful, sunny morning, pastoral painting depicts cows, horses, and other farm animals grazing in a beautifully tree-lined pasture with a stream running through it. There are two women carrying jugs while the little girl drags a wispy branch along the ground. There is a small wooden gate on the right, probably leading to the main property .
The artist has used a light impasto technique with a good play on light in this lovely pastoral oil painting.
