An Antique French Four-Panel Screen with Genre Style Paintings – C. 1900 – Minor flaking to paint and some loss of gimp.

This antique French, four-paneled screen has been painted on both sides, one side with genre style scenes, and the other side with trompe l’oeuil style wall panels.  The genre style scenes are painted on two panels each and feature ornamental borders surrounding the two scenes of scrolling c -and s scrolls and patterned rocaille shells.

This beautifully painted screen can be used as a backdrop in a corner for any smaller piece of furniture or anywhere a beautifully painted screen is required.
