This French oil painting has been painted in the impasto technique.  It depicts homes on a hillside in Provence.  At the base of the hillside is a meandering stream lined with Cypress trees and miscellaneous foliate trees and shrubs.  In the distance are homes and rolling hills.  The colors are those of Provence, warm and inviting. The painting is unframed and signed by C. Giraudon in the lower right hand corner.
