This beautiful French winter village scene has been painted in oil with an impasto technique.  The scene is painted from a hillside where a small portion of the wall of a home juts out into the scene.  There is a bucket at the base of the wall. Vines are growing up the stucco wall on the left with evergreens in the near center.  Trees frame the far right side.  In the distance is a road leading to a village.  The winter sky is in greys, blues and pale pinks.
