This European antique painted canvas wall-hanging depicts a young woman and man in front of a stone wall with a wishing well to the left.  She stands coyly at the well leaning upon the bucket while he leans over the stone wall peering at her in anticipation that her wish includes him.  Behind them is a landscape of rolling hills and trees surrounding a field where sheep are grazing in the distance. The painting is rich in its coloration and has been framed by passementerie and velvet all around.  It hangs from a relatively new painted, gold, expandable rod having ringed clips and has bouillon tassels hanging at either end.

Condition:  Rubs and creases to canvas;  Muslin lining with minor unstiching
