Pair of Early 1900's Wood and Cast Iron Garden Benches
This is a pair of French antique garden benches. They are made of wood and cast iron, in the Directoire style. We believe them to be from around 1900, and they are still in good condition, save some chipping of the paint and rusting of the iron.
These benches are laden with cast iron oak leaf decor. The rolled oak leaf arms terminate in dogs' heads, while the supporting legs terminate in stylized paw feet. The seats are wooden slats which were painted long ago.
Back Height=37 1/2, Seat Height=16, Seat Depth=14 1/8, Exterior Width=57 7/8, Seating Width=46 3/4
