Hand-carved in walnut during the 1600s, this amazing side table is from Burgundy, France. The original top has been replaced with a swath of needlework, dating to the 1800s. The original walnut has a rich, brown patina that accentuates the highly turned legs and stretcher.

CONDITION: Good antique condition. The base, which dates to the 1600s, has traces of old woodworm damage, with minor nicks and losses. Old restoration, most likely performed at the same time that the top was replaced with needlework, which is from the 1800s. Very light wear to the needlepoint.
