An antique altar from the 1700s, hand-carved and hand-painted in a parcel light blue with white and beige accents. Recently discovered in Bordeaux, France, the top has a marble insert with five cross pattée inscribed into the gray stone with beige, white, and black veining.
CONDITION: Strong antique condition. Fleabites and minor scratches to the marble insert. Commensurate paint losses, nicks, and age separations. Evidence of old restoration, coupled with more recent fills.
