Hallmarks of 18th century Spanish woodworkers are visible on this four-drawer console. Hand-carved in walnut, the top consists of a single plank. The wide, open lyre legs are good indicators of the age and origination, as are the geometric carvings on each of the drawer fronts. This console has lots of character, enhanced by the slight undulations to the top, and the visible dowel construction.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Light losses as a result of old wood worm damage, mostly located on the feet. Commensurate nicks and rubs. Evidence of old restoration, such as replacing a drawer guide and strengthening of legs.
