More information coming soon…
Known as a Biot pot (named after the French town where they originated in the Middle Ages), this bulbous terracotta pot has a beige hue with traces of a ring of yellow glaze near the opening. There are small holes along the bottom, allowing it to be used as a functional planter or garden ornament.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Minor losses. Commensurate glaze loss and interior buildup. The pot was hand-thrown, leading to slight variations in the height as seen around the rim. Please see detail photos.
