This highly scrolled wrought iron firescreen from the 1950s is adorned with gilt highlights, making it a fantastic option for any fireplace. Signed “Bataillars”, the French firescreen has a central cartouche of a pierced urn with overflowing floral vines, topped by a pair of volutes with elongated gadrooned tendrils.
CONDITION: Good condition. Minor oxidation. A light loss of gilding, resulting in exposed red bole, which is a desirable trait.
