Sometimes referred to as a tantalus box, this English locking decanter set dates to the 1800s. The thin, yet shapely, hand-carved oak frame is adorned with silver-plated mounts, including the baluster-form handle at the top. The locking mechanism tilts down, allowing the three etched glass bottles to be removed for consumption. A perfect accessory for a bar area, library, or any sitting area.
CONDITION: Very good antique condition. Minor nicks and rubs to wood. Light losses to the silver plating. Functional lock with key. Very light wear to the felt lining beneath each decanter.
