This beautiful interior door was hand-carved in pine in Marseille, France, during the 1800s. The rich brown patina accentuates the three geometric panels that make up the door, with each panel having thin quarter-round molding.
For those looking for a pair of doors, we have a very similar one that can be seen here: 19th Century French Carved Pine Interior Door from Marseille
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Minor nicks and losses. Slight traces of old wood worm, which necessitated old fills. Very light age separations and oxidation to iron hardware. The gudgeons and handle are present, but there is no accompanying pintle hinge or lock. A small, more recent repair one of the corner edges.
